Welcome to SENDIASS Rutland

SENDIASS Rutland offers free, confidential and impartial information, advice and support to parents and carers of young people aged 0-25 with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) as well as young people themselves.

How we can help

We can offer you advice and information on key issues like Special Educational Needs and provision. We can also offer support on Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments and Plans and matters relating to social care and health.

We can also give you practical support with tasks such as:

  • Understanding complicated documents and reports
  • Completing paperwork
  • Attending meetings with you to ensure your views are heard

Drop-in sessions

The following sessions are available by appointment:

  • Mondays – Brightways – 9:00am to 12:30pm
  • Tuesdays – Oakham Library – 1:30pm to 5:00pm
  • Wednesdays – Oak Memorial Hospital – 9:00am to 12:30pm
  • Fridays – Visions, Oakham – 8:30am to 4:30pm

We've changed our name

SENDIASS Rutland was previously Rutland Information Advice and Support Service (RIASS). From January 2018 this service is provided by SENDIASS Leicester.
